The Box, Auditions and a Summer Sale for Hamptons 'POOL-FIRE' shows!

Flambeaux Fire likes to find performers who think OUTSIDE the box even while Flambeaux himself is performing INSIDE The Box! (Flambeaux shows at The Box nightclub Tuesday-Saturday www.theboxnyc.com )
And thats why we have just held auditions at The Muse in Brooklyn. And we found some very interesting concept acts to place a framework of theatricality onto, directed by Flam-&-team. Check it out.
And finally to BIZNIZ! Flambeaux Fire is getting a late start into The Hamptons season so we are offerring a sale on pool-fire shows of 20% off. You'll recognize the difference in price but you'll get the same forever-remembered show for your guests. Remember we swim with floating fire sculptures and if you're real good, they can be pushed by real mermaids!
Call soon! The sun is out!

Diamond Horseshoe Decadence

The Diamond Horseshoe venue in the basement of the grand old NYC institution The Paramount Hotel is being heralded as one of the most opulent of recent times. As is it's signature show 'Queen of the Night' - immersive, conceptual, and very decadent. Needless to say, Flambeaux Fire wanted in.

Presented to the world by many of the names that brought you 'The Box and The Act, it was a likely place for the fires of FF to burn bright, as they have in those places. Buuuuuut.....fire? In a famous listed antique building recently renovated for 36 million USD? Hmmmm.....

Thankfully, we know what we're doing dammit, so bit by bit, we constructed a plan that thought of everything. A big part of what Flambeaux Fire does is work for weeks on every point that our friends at FDNY need to be changed or addressed to ensure sanctioned safety and insurance coverage. That's what makes us the company that can bring really artistic, original fireshow concepts INTO places like this, or those whos' 'ban-on-fire' is usually unbending.
Such 'non-fire' venues include;
The Rainbow Room at Rockerfeller Plaza
The Jacob Javitz Canter
The Hammerstein Ballroom
Times Square, NYC
MGM Grand Borgata Casino, Atlantic City
So don't go assuming that your event can't have the beautiful flames of Flambeaux and his crew! Fire is friendly and warm when it is understood and worked with.....

Next appearance;
Flambeaux Fire's Flambeaux and Sparkles at 'Atmosphere', Valentine's Night, at Diamond Horseshoe, by Babel NYC - The live interactive girl candelabra - come melt-&0drip with us!

Flambeaux Fire in the Boxing Ring for 'Fight Night', Washington DC

Flambeaux Fire just appeared in The Washington Post and Bizbash magazine this week for our appearance at the annual 'Fight Night' fundraiser gala at the Washington Hilton on the 13th of November.
Bizbash; "Fight Night manager Liz Warnecki increased the showmanship of this year’s production, adding Flambeaux Fire to the opening program. This marked the first time a live fire act has been permitted to perform indoors in Washington."

Cirquetacular Entertainment called Flambeaux to see if there was any way to do such a huge fireshow on a boxing ring (just before it was used) with 6 people and he worked out a way to be safe and protect the stage while performing on it. So they booked the date and the was transferred to the venue who took over the ambitious planning of this first-of-it's kind experience with FF favorites like Natalie Hope & Tiffany Valentin (Snake Woman & The Fire Fairy in Flambeaux Fire's theater show 'The Calling') gracing the fiery ring.

Celebs such as LL Cool J and Morgan Freeman swanned around lavishly with politicians, sportsmen and the mayor of D.C. and all to the tune of $4.5 million raised for 'Fight for Children' Foundation - the most ever!
Congratulations from Flambeaux!

We weren't sure what to think at first at being asked to be in a Disney show.
"Now how's that gonna work?....Really?" was the initial reaction.
But then we learned that Disney was putting it's first parental warning on the show we were being solicited for and it all seemed to fall into place.
The show was 'Villains Unleashed' at the Theater of the Stars in Disney World where Beauty and the Beast usually plays and it was 'a departure' for Disney to say the least.
So off we went to visit The Mouse.

With the beautiful Flambeaux Fire starlet Joules Magus as the dead Princess of Darkness, I wrote a show that used her movement/dance ability and her contortion skills, and brought out of retirement the balancing firebowl from years back.
Straight-up theater shows at casino showrooms and theaters have been a staple part of Flambeaux Fire's  MO for some time and now we move to become larger show producers ourselves both in New York and the obvious entertainment Mecca's beyond. With a production crew as amazing as teh one Disney provided absolutely anything can happen

So here is our show, loosely influenced by Tim Burton's 'Nightmare Before Xmas';
The Beautiful Nightmare

Fire & Water DO mix

People think we hate water but NO! It's how we relax here in Flambeaux Fire and we have been doing more relaxing with water-fire shows both here and in Miami, and Atlantic City over the last 2 years, gracing pools and ponds in gardens, rooftops, casinos and luxury hotels as we construct new ideas for live spectacle entertainment using fire.

SEE THE MOVIE OF A FIRE & WATER SHOW HERE!

Our pair of Fire Swans, towed by water-nymphs just drop jaws and as you can see in pictures further down, even guests love to swim with them.

And we have found, through our experiments with Ali in 'mermaid-ology', that these beautiful and strange creatures are as popular interacting outside of the pool as they are popular to swim with inside, and (…whodathunkit?) they too can play with fire!

So you see, we don't hate water at all. Hire us to come to your pool and you'll see you can hardly scoop us out……..

Stay tuned for more Water-Fire creations, performers and shows….

South of the Border with Serge Becker

The Blue Angel Cabaret on Walker Street didn't just jumpstart the modern burlesque revival back in 94 when Drew Barrymore used to strip and make a scandal of herself and all concerned. It also produced professional operations from many of it's performers and definitely of much of it's clientele. Serge Becker used to revel in it's excesses where Flambeaux headlined with his partner Lilah. This was also where his fire headdresses appeared to mimic the tribal culture of the underground 90s.
Becker whisked Flambeaux off to Bowery Bar and Grill, Joe's Pub and the Box. Now, 2 decades later, Becker has opened 'Bodega Negra' - a boutique Mexican Restaurant geared more towards raucous fun than to authenticity, at 16th Street's fashionable 'Dream Hotel' (launched with FF shows in 2009)
Think 'Dawn-to-Dusk' Mexico. Hot vampire girls and Herradura Tequila and all.
Says Becker to Flambeaux....."Set the place on fire Flammie.....safely!"

'Flammie' went straight for the new FF-girl team and snatched up Paula Kaiser (ex-P Cult), back from Brazil, with Natalie Hope to form the fun team for the A-list excess crowd of celebs that cram into Bodega Negra on Monday nights. And he looked at what he had made and found it good, for it was, but it needed something.
"We'd started rocking out fire gigs with Stefan Zeniuk and his flaming saxophone at the Gowanus Ballroom. THAT was what we needed!"
Set the place on fire? Uh....naaaah! Make it LOOK like they set the place on fire? Uh......yaaaah!

"Church of Girl' Human Candelabra Collection

The Times Square gala for Chashama arts organization was the setting for a developing vision; the 'Church of Girl', featuring wax-covered models
Cassandra Rosebeetle, Ali Luminescent, Christine Geiger, Christine Pawlovski and Kim Kahuna.
Weeks of drip-dripping of melting candles preceded it with Zen-like patience but the result was a shrine to beauty where the audience could worship and light candles upon their favorite goddesses.
It was an extension of last years' interactive candelabra with Sarah Sparkles where the audience dripped the candles directly onto her, forming the wax encasement.
All these things are now a line of live candles/wax installations and experiences made by Flambeaux for events and gatherings, so give us a call if you'd like them. And much thanks to Chashama arts organization who have supported us through the years and whom we enjoy contributing our works to annually for their Times Square gala.....
